As everyone knows Chennai is one among the four metro cities of India. In the recent years this city has shown great improvements in various fields but particularly in Information technology. This has resulted in the increased employment for the educated professionals and hence many of the people from various parts of the country come here for their job. This is the main reason for the increase in the number of vehicles in the city. During office hours most of the parts in Chennai is full of traffic and even for crossing a small distance it is taking a lot of time.
In order to get rid of this road traffic many of the people use the electric train facility here as their major mode of transportation. A recent study says the number of vehicles in the city has almost doubled in the last few years which clearly show how much traffic the city would have during peak hours. The government is taking very serious efforts to control the traffic jam by means of constructing as many flyovers as possible in the city. This has very well helped to reduce the traffic in Chennai. Whatever may be the case the number of people who are moving to Chennai keeps on increasing.
